The Uncrowned King of the criminal underworld and a Card Game boogieman that scares the innocent
It is said that when a Card Gamer places their deck in a summoning circle and prays before the sunset, The King of the Underworld will appear and grant that person their heart’s greatest desire, so long as the price is paid. This legend has been spread around the players of shuffle city for many years, and no one knows exactly where it started. The criminals of Shuffle City’s underworld have a similar legend; it is said that when someone becomes truly desperate, their first last resort is to visit “The Uncrowned King”.
The reality of these legends is far closer to truth than most would like to believe. Through the use of various Esoteric powers, Ebony Ages has become the unofficial ruler of Shuffle City’s criminal underworld. To the public, the CEO of the Ages Conglomerate is a kind and gentle man who spends their time investing in worthwhile causes and companies that treats their employees right. In reality, each and every one is a calculated move to expand his reach and influence.
Much of Ebony’s personal history is unknown, many believing that he was a pampered rich kid. However, the exact opposite was true. He grew up poor and powerless, watching those above him taking advantage of him. Upon awakening his mystical powers, he began to use them for his own end, becoming known as “The man who creates miracles”. Now in the prime of his life, he owns many businesses and has more wealth and power than he knows what to do with, but his desire for more still does not end, driving him to acquire even more.
